Anna Ekros - Visual artist, writer, curator and art historian holds an MFA from International Center of Photography / Bard Collage and an MA in Critical Theory and the Arts from School of Visual Arts in New York City. Ekros was educated in a specific photographic tradition in her early 20s by masters such as Anders Petersen, Halil Koyutürk and later Nan Goldin. During higher education she developed an interest in the moments where she can observe the edge of her perception. In her work her medium become a metaphor for her own consciousness. The artist recently exhibited at the Bruce High Quality Foundation in Brooklyn and have been published by Pinsapo Press in 2019. Ekros is the Photography and Education Coordinator at Supermarket, Stockholm Independent Art Fair.  As a curator she has a strong interest in artists whom, educated and historically informed, find their chosen medium to be too narrow to fit their own experience and work to expand their means of expression. This summer she is launching the third video in her project Grandma’s Camera at Hageboop festival, Gotland, as well as a collaborative project with the Berlin painter Carola Göllner.
